The heart of the E-Government.com website is our Content Management System (CMS). Our CMS was first implemented over 12 years ago at Stafford Township, NJ. Since then it has grown to become the standard for municipal websites. Please read the sections below to see why E-Government is the recognized leader in Municipal websites.
With over 25 different page templates, we easily have the most feature rich solutions on the market today.
To show the real power of E-Government.com, let's examine how our customer's administer their site and compare this with less powerful sites.
This is the story of two ways to create a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) section for your site. First we define what the goal and design of a good FAQ site. Since we plan to have dozens of FAQ's, we need to be able to categorize them so a visitor can start by seeing the list of categories and choose the one they want. Then they see the FAQ's for that category. Finally, when they click on the question they are looking for, they immediately see the answer.
We also need to consider what happens when they can't find the question relating to their inquiry. Or if they do find it, they may still need more information. First we need a special feedback section on each page. This will let our administrator know which FAQ category they were on when they entered their request for information. Also, to help with finding the FAQ, we need a special search that just searches the FAQ's.
To setup a new FAQ with an E-Government.com site, all you have to do is choose the category, and enter the question and the answer. All the rest happens automatically. With other systems, the rest just doesn't exist. Of course they'll promise you an FAQ section. But all too often it's just their standard page where you can enter your questions and answers. The other needed features just aren't there.
Now expand this to all of the unique functions we provide. The efficiencies are incredible.
